Quite possibly the easiest potato in the world to make. AND, it’s a family favourite! Dress it up your way with herbs, cheese and sour cream.
Ingredients
1 large Russet potato
1 tbsp Olive oil
5-6 pads of butter
Herbs – Rosemary, Thyme or other that you like
1 dash of kosher salt
1 pinch of black pepper
How to make it
- Cut a series of slices across the potato – about 1/8 of an inch each. Be sure that you DO NOT cut the potato all the way through
- Drizzle the olive oil across the potato, ensuring that the oil gets between the slices
- Sprinkle your spices across the potato and in between each slice
- Bake the potato uncovered in a pre-heated oven at 450° until the slices open like flower petals and turn golden brown
- Dress with your favourite toppings
- Eat!
