No-hassle Hasselback Potato

Quite possibly the easiest potato in the world to make. AND, it’s a family favourite! Dress it up your way with herbs, cheese and sour cream.

Ingredients

1 large Russet potato
1 tbsp Olive oil
5-6 pads of butter
Herbs – Rosemary, Thyme or other that you like
1 dash of kosher salt
1 pinch of black pepper

How to make it

  1. Cut a series of slices across the potato – about 1/8 of an inch each. Be sure that you DO NOT cut the potato all the way through
  2. Drizzle the olive oil across the potato, ensuring that the oil gets between the slices
  3. Sprinkle your spices across the potato and in between each slice
  4. Bake the potato uncovered in a pre-heated oven at 450° until the slices open like flower petals and turn golden brown
  5. Dress with your favourite toppings
  6. Eat!
